Random ramblings

1. I have lots to blog about, but just not "feeling" it, and not sure how to say it all, and just don't have time to figure it out.

2. Facebook is not my thing. I'm trying to get with the times and embrace it. But I can't. It all seems so ... I don't know what the political word is... so I'll just leave it at that. oh.. but I must say that there are some things that you should not find out about via facebook. Pick up a phone. Email. Something other than put it on your wall for all to see. The end.

3. 4:30 is just way too early to wake up. And that's all I'll say about that too.

4. We went to the park at the beach the other day. Little man wanted to go for a swim. There's some ice, so it wasn't really swimming weather, but he didn't care. Anyway... there were hundreds maybe thousands of geese on the lake, and we got to see hundreds of them land. It was very cool. And I wish I had brought my camera. But I didn't. The batteries were dead. But I charged them when I got home so I'd never miss another cool moment.

5. But then I did. Because the Mr. put the camera away where he thought I always put it. But in fact never have ever put it there. So I couldn't find it. Or get a hold of him to find out where it was. So I didn't get pictures of my girls first ever "real" haircut and the curls and glitter in their hair. They loved it. I about died having to pay so much for something I can do for free and better. But it was all for a good reason. I was a spy. And that's all I can say on that for now.

6. Big girl finally had a reading test at school, so now the teacher has realized the little books being sent home were way too easy. I kept having to ask for harder books. She'll test again later to find out what level she's really at, but she's at a higher level than the teacher thought. Maybe mid grade 2? She's a smartie. It's all my genes. kidding. kinda.

7. Little girl is turning 4 tomorrow. Wah.

8. I was crying about how my kids are growing up (not really... just pretend crying) and big girl says, "but mom, we have to grow up. You do too. You'll be 38 than 39 than 30 ten". I love that she didn't say 40. Let's keep it that way shall we.

9. Has anyone ever made their own digital cards than printed them off somewhere (like Costco)? I need help.

10. Good night. Morning comes too early around here.

Construction stinks

As we were driving through some road construction, big girl says "Construction areas stink".
then a few seconds later says,
"Probably because so many boys work there".

I love kids!

Where oh where?

Where do all the pens go??

I have pens on my work desk.
Gone.

Pens by the phone.
Gone.

Pens on the computer desk.
Gone.

Pens in the cupboard.
Mostly gone.

Where are they?
They have to be somewhere. right?

Monday Musings of things I love today

1. Stampin Up Digital Studio. I'm trying to get some Christmas gifts and cards done. It's hard for a beginner like me, but I'm having fun and loving it!

2. Graco Sweet Slumber Sound Machine. Sad I didn't have this for all my children. But loving it for little man.

3. BYU TV. I love being able to work, and turn it on and listen. Especially when the BYU Mens Choir is on.

4. BYU Mens Choir. It was my favorite concert to go to. And I still love listening to them the most of anything. I think I need the new CD. (ok.. I didn't even know they had a website till now. Cool!)

5. DQ Dilly Bars. Always my favorite treat from there. And they have buy one box get one free this month. So that was our FHE treat tonight. Yum.

6. Coupons. Particulaly Michael coupons. I bought a castle cake for little girls birthday coming up and it was 50% off. Love that! (not loving how hard it looks to make. yikes)

7. Good teachers that help my girls love school.

8. My bed. I got a new bed in a bag a month ago and I love it. Love! Just wish I could spend more time with it.

Rebelling

This daylight savings needs to end.

But in the meantime, I'm rebelling.
I've decided to pretend it never happened.
Since little man wakes up at 5:00, I will put him to bed by 6:00.
And I will go to bed an hour earlier.

And then all will be well.

Right!?

Medicine

Little girl never gets sick.
But this week she's been sick with a fever, cough and runny nose.
Last night she wanted to go to bed at 5:30. Was asleep by 6:00. Nice.

Sadly, she's happy to be sick and not have to go to school.

But she was sad to not be able to go to ballet.
She said she was all better. (she's not)
I said if she's too sick to go to school, then she's too sick to go to ballet.

Her reply?

But ballet is like medicine. It will make me better.

Why does she have to be so cute?

Happy Halloween

1. The pumpkins waiting for some trick or treaters.

2. The Mr. did the carving.
He's very proud of this one:

I think he did good.
We'll let him keep the pumpkin carving job. (And the pumpkin pie making job.)

3. The little ones ready to go:

Witch, skeleton, lion.

Big girl asked if she should look mean since she's a witch. cute!
The Mr took little man to our neighbors, then brought him home to help me hand out candy. When the Mr got back, he said he didn't realize he was with the lion and the witch, and he should have been the wardrobe. Why didn't we think of that earlier??

4. And see the big bowl of candy in the above photo.
Ya... not buying candy again.
We thought we'd have lots of kids come. Nope.
So next time I'll buy something we can use if we have lots left over.
I have a year to think.

Plus I bought it in September (trying to be organized) then found out little man may have peanut allergies. And guess what kind I bought- all the peanut ones (they are my favorite). So we can't keep them around. I just have to eat them quick. j/k

5. Don't people trick or treat anymore??

6. We did leave the bowl of candy out while we put the kids to bed. Some older kids came and were so excited. We should do that more often.
They did leave some. Sheesh. They were suppose to be greedy.

7. And what's with the woosy doorbell ringers. I did have one kid that yelled. I was impressed.

8. And just because the grandparents need to see this little cutie one more time:

9. One day I'll learn to take photos so you actually see more of the person in the photo and less of everything else.

10. And that concludes another Halloween.
